Believe it or not, I'm not an asshole. [ With a wry twist of her mouth, lifting the cotton ball briefly to check that she's gotten the peroxide into the scratch. ]

I'm not saying I'm the best at helping people, but I do what I can.

[scowlish]

[Another little hiss as she lifts the cotton ball and then puts another back down again.]

I didn't believe you were.

[A soft exhalation.]

Well, thanks for considering me reliable, I guess?

[ She lifts her eyebrow. ]

Anyway, nearly done. We'll probably have to wrap them again, unless you wanna try bandaids.

[scowlish]

You are reliable. And that's a good thing!

I'm fine with wrapping them. This is somehow more inconvenient to bandage than when my ear was cut.

[ And she also has a roll of bandages, which is produced next after she's finished tending to the scratches. ]

No, it was cut back at home, by some children. They were trying to play hairdresser with me, but got my ear instead of my hair.

Not brave, just stupid. I was helping them with their homework when I was called by Reynir, a person I know back home, that he needed help. I went to help, or rather sent my luonto to help, and my consciousness left my body. They got the scissors while I was still. I guess they got bored.

[ She squints at him for a minute, as though trying to imagine it. ]

[He looks almost taken aback for a moment.]
