[When she arrives at his usual spot for camping, he's sitting on a log beside a small fire that's obviously freshly-built, and holding a rag across part of his face. The rag has quite a fair few large spots of blood on it, the expression he's wearing is neutral but the knuckles on his hand are a little white. It hurts, though he's not complaining about it, a throbbing sharp pain that seems to beat in time with his heart.
When he sees her coming toward him through the trees, he waves his free hand.]
[ She only tends to worry if people legitimately can't take care of themselves, and Onni doesn't strike her as the helpless type. Still, Gebura raises an eyebrow as she approaches, choosing to crouch down in front of him. Out of deference to not breathing smoke in his face (unlike Roland, who just has to put up with it), she pauses to take her cigarette out of her mouth and put it out first. ]

[ Facial and head injuries tend to have a lot of blood, but there are also a lot of sensitive nerves in the face. It's probably not the most comfortable place for an injury. ]
[He's really not the helpless type, and if it weren't on his own face, he'd probably never have asked for help in the first place. But the mirror hadn't helped much considering how much it's bleeding, and it'd be good to get a second opinion. He just hopes the scratches haven't been deep enough to sever any nerves in his face - he doubts that, though, they don't seem to be much more than very bloody scratches.]

[He pulls the rag away from his face to reveal four deep scratches across his face, starting at his hairline and moving down over his face, barely missing one eye and nicking the corner of his lip at the lower edge of where they are. He can taste blood again as they start to ooze.]
Like I said, they bleed a lot but I don't think they're too deep.
[He notices she's gotten out a bag of some sort, and assumes it's first aid supplies. Gebura is, as always, reliable and helpful. He can't help but like her for it.]
Thankfully they're not bleeding as much as they were, though it's hard to keep pressure on all of them at once.
[He sounds more cranky than anything right now, and he lowers his hand from his face so she can take a better look.]
[When she starts dabbing at the scratches with the familiar sting and bubble of peroxide, he hisses through his teeth, but doesn't move or protest, just stays still and allows her to do it. He doesn't have a weak tolerance to pain, but not a strong one either.]

[He says it after a moment, looking up at her with pale eyes while she continues to dab peroxide over his wounds.]
Believe it or not, I'm not an asshole. [ With a wry twist of her mouth, lifting the cotton ball briefly to check that she's gotten the peroxide into the scratch. ]
I'm not saying I'm the best at helping people, but I do what I can.
[A little nod, though he doesn't move his face much, not wanting to interrupt her ministrations. But that raised eyebrow makes him huff out a breath. It really is a compliment, you can't get much better in Onni's mind than reliable.]
I'm fine with wrapping them. This is somehow more inconvenient to bandage than when my ear was cut.

Not brave, just stupid. I was helping them with their homework when I was called by Reynir, a person I know back home, that he needed help. I went to help, or rather sent my luonto to help, and my consciousness left my body. They got the scissors while I was still. I guess they got bored.
